Sheryl Lee Ralph is going to close out the end of the month with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The Emmy-winning actress will soon join other Hollywood stars during a ceremony that is set to take place on Wednesday, January 29.
“I am deeply grateful to announce the honor of receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame,” Ralph shared on X. “What a celebration of love, perseverance, and the unwavering support of family, friends, and fans. Thank you! This star shines for us all!”
The Connecticut native’s career includes roles on “It’s a Living,” “New Attitude,” “Instant Mom,” and “Moesha.” In 1982, she earned a Tony nomination for her portrayal of Deena Jones in “Dreamgirls” and later won an Emmy for her “Abbott Elementary” role in 2022. She has also earned Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild nominations.
Ralph was chosen by a panel of Walk of Fame members and her selection was announced in 2023.
