Rihanna To Release Music For New "Smurfs" Movie

Fans could possibly get what they have been waiting on with a twist as Rihanna is set to drop new music. She will release her first song in almost three years, courtesy of the new Smurfs movie.


Rihanna was revealed as the voice of Smurfette in Parmount Pictures first full trailer for the upcoming musical film “Smurfs”. Not only will the fashion mogul be starring in the film, but she will also be producing the Paramount Animation production. As well as she wrote original songs for the film.




The soundtrack will be the first music Rihanna has released since “Lift Me Up”, which was featured in the 2022 film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The singer has not released an album in almost a decade since her 2016 album ANTI.


The new musical version of “Smurfs” will follow the Sony Pictures film franchise adaptation of the “Smurfs”. The tiny blue characters originated from the world of Belgian artist Peyo’s comic books, according to Variety.com. “Smurfs” will hit theaters on July 18.
