Kendrick Lamar Becomes The First Rapper With Three Top 10 Albums On The Billboard Top 10

Kendrick Lamar is continuing to have a good start of the year and made history yet again. The rapper is the first hip-hop artist to have three albums in the top 10 of the Billboard 200 chart.

According to Billboard,  GNX returns to number one for a second nonconsecutive week after landing atop the chart in December. DAMN., which was released in 2017 takes the 9th spot and 2012’s good kid, m.A.A.d City is holding steady at number 10.

In the almost 69-year history of the chart, this is the first time that a rap artist has placed at least three albums concurrently in the top 10. The Billboard 200 began publishing in March 1956 on a regular, weekly basis.
