Kanye's Long Awaited Album "Donda" Smashes Records

Kanye's 10th studio album finally and surprisingly dropped on Sunday. The long awaited and highly anticipated album has broken records upon release. Kanye has hosted 3 listening parties, 2 in Atlanta and 1 in Chicago and it seems all of the excitement has paid off.

Donda set a new record by reaching number 1 on Apple Music's Top Album Charts in 152 countries. According to Apple, the album had been streamed over 60 million times in the United States alone.

Of the top 20 spots on Apple Music's Daily Top 100 Global Songs Chart, 19 were from Donda. The 27 track list album also broke the 2021 record for being the most streamed album and artist in one day. Donda also became the 3rd most played album on its first day of release of Apple Music ever.

Kanye says the album was released without his permission but Universal Music Group denies that.
