Due out from under Simon & Schuster this fall, Da Baddest, will bring readers on a journey through Trina's life, legacy, and the impact she's made thus far.

"Trina always understands the assignment. She knows how to adapt to evolving sounds, generations and trends without losing the core of who she is as an artist," Missy Elliott says in the book's foreword.

Katrina Taylor, better known as "Trina," lived a sheltered lifestyle by way of her parents growing up in Miami. She had an especially strong bond with her mother. Even at an early age, she knew she wanted to be a "powerful, successful and magnetic woman, a woman who was entirely self-reliant and independent," according to a press release shared with People.

Trina took to social media to share that a preorder option for the book is available.

Trina's aspiration was to become a background dancer in the rap videos filmed in her Liberty City neighborhood. However, her career far surpassed those initial dreams. In "Da Baddest," the artist will delve into her vulnerability and profound affection for her family, home, and music.

"This evocative look into Trina’s upbringing and life as a rap icon proves why she is the blueprint and how she helped pave the way for the future of female rappers and hip-hop artists," the release says.

Congratulations to Trina on this noteworthy accomplishment! "Da Baddest" will be released October 8th, and is available for preorder now, wherever books are sold.
