Gabourey Sidibe Welcomes Twin Babies with Husband Brandon Frankel

Actress Gabourey Sidibe has become a mother of two, delivering fraternal twins with husband Brandon Frankel.

The Shade Room exclusively reported the heartwarming news, complete with adorable photos of Sidibe and Frankel along with their newborn twins. The snapshots show the couple cradling the babies in both indoor and outdoor settings. Dressed in cute onesies—one with pink accents and the other with blue—the twins made their debut in early April. Check out the sweet moments they shared below.
“Brandon always wanted to name a son Cooper, so we call him ‘Coop,’ and Maya was named shortly before our baby moon to the Mayan Riviera in Mexico,” Sidibe shared, per TSR. “Both twins have traditional West African middle names after members of my family.”
She continued, “Cooper will sometimes speak for Maya and alert us that she’s about to spit up. Maya loves her name being sung to her and is the queen of comedic timing, and Cooper loves his sleep and has the funniest facial expressions. They both love cuddling with Mom and Dad.”
The 41-year-old also shared details of her labor story.
“We originally were going in for a routine appointment, only to be told the twins would be coming later that day and not when originally planned,” the Oscar-nominated talent explained.

The couple took to social media back in February to share the joyful news of their pregnancy with followers.
“We thought it was time to give our cats some responsibility so we’re giving them each a baby to take care of! Double the babies, double the cats, double the fun!! Twin Delivery coming soon! Twinty Twinty Four!!,” joked Sidibe at the time. She and Frankel were engaged in December 2020 and married in March 2021. They chose to keep their union private until December 2022.
