Congratulations are in order for Ella Mai and Jayson Tatum! It appears the Grammy award winning singer chose to prioritize her peace throughout her pregnancy.

The notoriously private couple seemingly welcomed their first child together, but the happy parents did not get to make an announcement themselves.
On Saturday, the 26-year-old Boston Celtics player and his USA Basketball teammates were photographed with their Olympic gold medals at their hotel in Paris, France. Behind-the-scenes footage of the photoshoot circulated online, and sharp-eyed fans quickly spotted the 29-year-old multi-platinum singer off to the side, holding a newborn baby during the session.
The newborn is Mai’s first child, while Tatum welcomed Jayson Christopher Tatum, Jr., now 6, from a previous relationship. According to People, the couple have been romantically linked since 2020 but never confirmed their relationship.
Fans discovered Mai's pregnancy when she revealed her baby bump at the 2024 NBA Finals in June. During the event, Tatum and the Celtics defeated the Dallas Mavericks. Over the years, Tatum and the "Boo'd Up" singer have remained tight-lipped about their relationship. Mai first sparked romance rumors with Tatum in 2019 when she was seen sitting court-side at one of his games.

During an interview on The Breakfast Club, Mai was asked about the speculation around her relationship status. When DJ Envy suggested Mai could be “possibly dating a Boston Celtic,” she didn’t confirm or deny the idea. “I’m a basketball fan, definitely,” she said. “But you know, I’m not one to talk about my dating life.”
Mai has been a prominent force in the music industry since her 2018 breakthrough and is now celebrating what seems like a new chapter in life. Her recent album, "Heart On My Slave," released in spring 2022, garnered ongoing praise.
