Chlöe Bailey On Her Own: Announces Upcoming Debut Solo Album

Sisters Chlöe and Halle Bailey have been singing together as 5 time Grammy nominated duo Chlöe x Halle since they were wee little girls. Now, the Grown-Ish stars are indeed growing up and working on their own projects.

Chlöe is gearing up to make her solo debut at the upcoming MTV Video Music Awards and release her music video for Have Mercy. As far as the album, she says she's currently narrowing the track list down from about 50 songs. She describes it as a pop album that pays homage to the ones that inspired her while finding her own voice.

The album has been in the works since 2019, but was put on hold because she was promoting UnGodly Hour. However, once Halle left for London to film The Little Mermaid, Chlöe realized in those 8 months without her other singing half...it was time to start working solo.

Fans began to speculate when the sisters created their own individual Instagram accounts that they would be going their separate ways. Both of them insist that they have not broken up and are simply taking time to pursue their individual projects. Chlöe has even teased upcoming new music from the duo.

Don't count Chlöe out of the acting world either, in addition to Grown-Ish she also has a leading role in the upcoming thriller Jane. She says she can't wait to take on more serious roles as acting is another way of expression for her.

No word on a name or a release date for her upcoming solo album but Chlöe says it will be sooner rather than later.
