Two-time WNBA MVP A'ja Wilson is getting a signature Nike shoe, she and Nike announced over the weekend. As Wilson prepared to face-off against the Puerto Rican national team in a preseason game at South Carolina's Colonial Life Arena, the news about the shoe came to light.

The former Gamecock national champion wore a sweatshirt for her arrival to the arena that said, "Of Course I Have A Shoe Dot Com," which is a URL that redirects to Nike's website with the announcement. The Nike A'One shoes are set to be released in 2025 along with the rest of her signature collection.

Neither A’ja Wilson or Nike have announced an official release date for the Nike A’One. However, Nike’s announcement post noted that her kicks and accompanying apparel will be arriving in women’s, men’s and kids’ sizing via Nike SNKRS and select retailers globally.

According to ESPN, Wilson requested the news about the collection drop in conjunction with the Aces' trip to her hometown of Columbia, South Carolina. She’s been working with Nike for over a year to develop the signature collection.

"The biggest thing for me is I get to showcase what I've been working on for a couple of years now in my home state, in my home city. A place where people watched me grow and I raised eyebrows like, 'Is she really that good?!' To then seeing me in college and now in the pros," Wilson told Andscape's Aaron Dodson.
