“As someone who has always believed in the transformative power of music, film, and television, I’m beyond excited to introduce the expansion of my G-Unit Film & Television through the launch right here in Shreveport. From the gritty narratives of the streets to the compelling stories that define our era, G-Unit has always been more than just entertainment; it’s a platform for voices that need to be heard, stories that need to be told,” 50 explains.

Established in 2003, G-Unit Film & Television Inc. debuted with the documentary 50 Cent: The New Breed. Over the years, the company has garnered acclaim for its production of notable television series, such as the popular Power franchise on Starz and its numerous spin-offs.
Last year, Jackson decided to end G-Unit's partnership with Starz due to his public dissatisfaction with the network's handling of their television productions. In a now-deleted Instagram post, he expressed his frustration, saying, "This is me packing my stuff, Starz. Sucks, my deal is up over here I’m out. They renewed Hightown and Force is the highest rated show they have sitting in limbo. If I told you how much dumb sh*t I deal with over here." Following this, G-Unit proceeded to secure a non-exclusive broadcasting deal with Fox.
