Awards season is upon us and Hollywood is ready to shine the spotlight on this year's brightest stars.
The 53rd NAACP Image Awards were up first this weekend. The show was hosted once again by multiple Image Award winner Anthony Anderson.
It was a virtual broadcast for the most part with Anthony and his Mom Doris on stage with a huge screen behind them.
However, there were some pretty huge in person surprises. Jennifer Hudson accepted her Entertainer of the Year Award while Meghan Markle and Prince Harry also graced the staged to accept The President's Award.
Samuel L. Jackson received the esteemed Chairman's Award. Will Smith, Angela Bassett and Sterling K. Brown also received awards.
Presenters included: Paula Patton, Kerry Washington, LL Cool J, Tiffany Haddish and Zendaya.
Mary J. Blige was the only performer this year.
